So helpful for traveling!

I got the custom food allergy translation card for my son's dairy and egg allergies, and it was a lifesaver! We went to Italy, and it made ordering food so much less stressful. The translation was professional, and the restaurant staff really seemed to appreciate it. I will definitely be buying more for future trips and telling all my friends with allergies about Equal Eats!

Useful, but shipping was a bit slow

I purchased a plastic celiac disease translation card for an upcoming trip. The card itself is very well-made and the translation looked accurate (I had a friend double-check). It definitely gave me more peace of mind. My only minor complaint was the shipping; it took about 8 days to reach me in California, which felt a bit long for a domestic order. Customer service was polite when I inquired, but the wait was still there. Overall, a good product, but plan ahead for delivery times.

Good quality, fast digital card

I ordered a digital peanut allergy card. It was easy to customize. Got the email with the card quickly. Worked well on my trip. No issues.

I have a bunch of allergies, like dairy, eggs, and nuts. Can I put all that on one card or do I need to buy separate ones?

S Sarah Beaumont 2 months ago
You can totally customize one card for multiple allergies. I did that for my son's dairy and soy issues, it works fine.

Yep, they let you put several things on one. Just make sure to list everything when you're setting it up.

Is there usually a discount for first-time buyers? Or any bundle deals if I get a few different cards?

A Anna Ito 1 month ago
I think I got 10% off my first order when I signed up for their email list. Worth checking that out.

They definitely do bundle deals. I got a physical and digital combo for cheaper than buying them separately. And sometimes they have seasonal sales, especially around holidays.

Thinking about getting these for my peanut allergy vs. just using an app. Is Equal Eats really better than something like SelectWisely?

C Colin Romero 2 months ago
I've used both, and Equal Eats cards look way more professional. Plus, having a physical card to hand over feels more serious to restaurant staff, in my experience.

Yeah, the Equal Eats cards are sturdy and the translations seem more comprehensive. I found SelectWisely a bit basic for my comfort level when traveling.

Hey, thinking of getting a few cards for my trip to Italy this summer. How long does shipping usually take to New York?

O Omar 1 month ago
Mine got to California in about a week, maybe 8 days? So NY should be pretty similar I'd guess.

Yeah, I ordered a couple for my kid's nut allergy last month and they came pretty quick, like under 10 days. I'd order soon though if you're leaving for summer.

Are these translations actually good? Like, will a chef in Japan really understand it or is it just Google Translate stuff?

T Tom Romero 2 months ago
Nah, they're legit. I used one in Thailand for my shellfish allergy and had no problems at all. The restaurant staff totally got it.

From what I understand, they use actual native speakers for the translations, not just some app. My friend used them in France and said it was super clear.
